It is located at the crossroads of Europe and Asia continents. So, it has an Asian and European part, which is a natural barrier and a bridge between these two continents from ancient times until now. This makes its climate the most beautiful!

 

 

 

Geographical Location of Turkey:

Turkey, The Land of Sultans, is located in the Middle East. As shown in the map below, it is bordered to the north by the Black Sea and Georgia, to the east by Armenia and Iran, to the south by Iraq, Syria and the Mediterranean Sea with maritime borders of Cyprus, and to the west by the Aegean Sea, Greece and Bulgaria.

Turkey is characterized by its beauty and diversity of climate. Its coastal regions have a Mediterranean climate with slight variations in temperature and rarely snow. While mountainous areas are covered with white snow, which takes at least 120 days to melt away.

Because the Turks are highly educated and have a high culture; when you visit Turkey, you will find someone who guides you and maybe you will encounter many people who speak your language.

Turkey has a total area of 299,893 square miles. There are 9,257 of its area within the European continent, which is approximately 783,562 square kilometers in total.

According to the statistics of 2019, the population of Turkey is 82,522,189 people.

What is the official currency of Turkey?

The Turkish Lira is the official currency of Turkey. Banks and money exchangers can exchange other currencies into Turkish currency, which can be in the form of metal (5,10,25,50) or paper money (5,10,20,50,100,200) lira.

The Flag:

Turkey’s flag has a ratio of 2:3 with red color symbolizes the blood of the martyrs who were killed in the first Kosovo War in 1362-1389. In the middle of this flag, there is a white crescent symbolizing the Islamic caliphate, and a pentagram symbolizing Turkish democracy and identity.
